1. K ARI G. I am a junior, majoring in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Advertising. I also have an A.A.S. degree as a legal secretary.
2. My Family I have two daughters, Jayden (age 9) and Taylor (age 6). I am divorced and share custody, so I get to spend time with my kids every other week. My boyfriend of two years also lives with us. Taylor – age 6 (almost 7) Jayden – age 9
3. This is me and my boyfriend Kendall – he’s a huge Cubs fan--he even has two Cubs tattoos. I love baseball no matter what team is playing, but I like to watch the Redhawks, Twins and the Cubs the most. One day we hope to visit every MLB stadium together.
4. Work Experience I worked for Athletic Republic (formerly Frappier Acceleration Sports Training) for over 6 years as an Event Planner and Training Coordinator until the company moved to Utah. Also have Office Manager and Legal Secretary experience. Currently, I am working with the Publications office at MSUM as writer in a work study position. I am writing articles for the Alumnews magazine, Area Woman, and helping with testimonial videos for the new MSUM website.
5. India A country in South Asia Geographically the 7th largest country in the world. 2nd largest population in the world with 1.18 billion people. (China is first with 1.3 billion) The most populous democracy in the world.

But a powerful male backlash has accompanied the women's revolution, an upwelling of resentment that has expressed itself in sexual violence and harassment.” “the number of reported instances of domestic violence, rape and dowry killings is spiking in South Asian cities, according to women's groups, demographers and sociologists.”
15. Women of India Dowry Although it is against the law, some women are required to pay a dowry to their husbands-to-be in exchange for marrying them. Some parts of the country are worse than others. Bride Burning In cases where the dowry is not paid, the bride-to-be is punished by being burned to death. Their cause of deaths are often claimed to be from kitchen fires. Child Marriages Girls live with their parents until puberty, then are often given away for marriage. Child marriages are illegal as well, but laws are not enforced.
